I have been trying to find all the right words to express my feelings about the retreat I held in Hocking Hills, Ohio this past June and the lovely @thehannahhughes was so kind to share the words by @annvoskamp the other day that really summed up what transpired during our time together. 

𝙎𝙝𝙖𝙢𝙚 𝙙𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙩𝙤𝙡𝙙 𝙞𝙣 𝙨𝙖𝙛𝙚 𝙨𝙥𝙖𝙘𝙚𝙨. ⁣

So many deeply personal things were shared during our time together and without judgment, but only love where we were able to speak openly and honestly to each other. What a rare and beautiful thing to experience and be a part of. How beautiful it is to find yourself in a room full of broken hearts and find a sense of peace knowing that not one person looked at you differently, but only with love and acceptance. While looking back through these images I am finding myself missing each one of the women who came so much and has me so hopeful and excited for the future of this retreat.

All I’ve wanted for the last 6 years was help women find hope, love, and acceptance within themselves and to be surrounded by other women who want the same things for them. Creating a safe, real, and honest community for women who only lift each other up has brought so much joy and purpose in my life. Vulnerability creates room for honest conversations and helps others know they aren’t alone.
